STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God; therefore, we trust God’s Word as the foundation of our faith. God exists in three persons: God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is perfect and holy, the creator, ruler, and judge of all things, and defined by his love. Mankind was created by God to live in harmony with him, but our disobedience resulted in sin, and sin broke the harmonious relationship between God and mankind. Filled with love, God sent Jesus in human form to live among us and ultimately die as a sacrifice to save us from sin and punishment. Jesus revealed his divinity and power over death as he rose from the grave, breaking the curse of our sin, and making salvation possible for all who believe in him. By receiving the love of Jesus, we are restored as sons and daughters of God and compelled to follow him by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is our helper and the Spirit of Truth that fills us with the heart, mind, and movement of Jesus to accomplish God’s purpose for us. The Holy Spirit fortifies our prayers, ignites special gifts in us to serve others, empowers us to be like Jesus, and binds believers together as one body to reveal God’s love to the world. As the body of Christ gathers regularly for worship, prayer, exercising spiritual gifts, and ministering to one another through the Word, our mission is to make disciples of all nations, starting with our family. Longing to see Jesus again, we exist to live according to God’s love as we await Jesus’ return.
